Dr. Shane has been providing medical care onsite to the Apple employees since 2008. He has been a medical director in Hollyhill since 2014. Dr. Shane graduated with a medical degree from University College Cork in 2000. He went on to complete his training in general practice through the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. He returned to Cork in 2006 and was a GP partner and occupational health physician in Ballincollig until he moved to Apple full time in early 2016. He is especially interested in preventative healthcare and health promotion. He is currently chairman of Southdoc. In his spare time he is a keen runner and plays tennis in Sundays Well on the Mardyke.
