Dr Fionnuala graduated from University College Cork in 2005. She spent several years gaining experience in hospital medicine in Cork and Limerick and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
She has worked in the Mater Hospital Dublin in the specialties of Infectious Diseases and Renal medicine and was employed as a lecturer in medicine at UCD. Following this she pursued further training in Clinical Microbiology.
In 2011, Fionnuala began her vocational training on the Cork GP training scheme and has worked in both rural and urban practices in Cork.
She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and completed a postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Certificate in Contraception.
Fionnuala's special interests include Family Planning, Women's Health, Travel Medicine , Occupational Medicine and Dermatology. She has three children and enjoys cycling, pilates and spending time with family and friends.
